Owners of motorbikes in Hanoi can get free emission evaluation until the end of this month. This is part of the city’s plan to improve air quality. The plan includes checking emission, receiving abandoned vehicles, and subsidizing the exchange for new motorbikes.

Motorbikes that were registered for the first time before 2002 and belong to five brands of Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Piaggio, and SYM can be checked at eight evaluation stations in Hoan Kiem, Hai Ba Trung, Dong Da, Cau Giay, Thanh Xuan và Ha Dong districts.

If the motorbikes meet a number of requirements, including registration in Hanoi and have full parts, their owners will receive support of up to 4 million VND to buy a new vehicle.
