A high-altitude and low-altitude fireworks display will take place at Coconut Island, Thong Nhat Park, Hai Ba Trung District, according to the Hanoi People’s Committee’s fireworks plan for the Lunar New Year of the Tiger in 2022. 

The shooting time duration is 15 minutes from 0 hour on the eve of the Lunar New Year, which falls on January 31 evening. Funding for the show will be contributed by local businesses.

The Hanoi Capital Command shall assume the prime responsibility for and coordinate with other departments and Hai Ba Trung district in performing the task, ensuring absolute safety when setting off fireworks, the plan said.

This year, Hanoi city plans only one fireworks display venue due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic as around 2,000 new cases are detected daily these days.
