Higher tariff on imported gasoline, petroleum

VGP – The tariff imposed on imported gasoline and petroleum has risen by 7-11% since January 7, according a Circular of the Ministry of Finance (MoF).

Accordingly, the tariff on gasoline increased from 27% to 35% (up 8%), while the tariffs on petroleum rose to 35% from 26% (up 9%). Mazut and Diezel fuel faced import taxes of 35% and 30%, up 11% and 7%, respectively.

The adjustment in tariff on imported oil and gas is suitable with the  WTO commitments (from 0 – 40%).
