Int’l Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation to open in April

The sixth Vietnam International Conference and Exhibition on Control and Automation (VCCA), the biggest of its kind, will open in Ho Chi Minh City from April 8-9, a press conference announced on Friday.

The event, themed “Automation in the Vietnam National Digital Transformation Program: Intelligent and Innovative”, is expected to help develop the control and automation fields during the industrialization and modernization process.

It will comprise of three main activities: a scientific conference, an international exhibition, and a business forum.

The conference will gather prestigious Vietnamese and foreign scientists who will present their research results and exchange experience in relevant fields, said Nguyen Quan, President of the Vietnam Automation Association.

“This year’s event will be on the largest scale ever. There will be 132 scientific reports to be presented at the scientific conference. Domestic and international scientists will introduce the latest research results, the most important achievements, and technological products that have been successfully applied in recent time, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Quan.

He added, “Due to the pandemic, there will be about 80 booths at the exhibition. The business forum will cover various issues of automation, especially smart city, smart technology, and smart production. Participating enterprises will introduce their experience in digital transformation and deploying automation apps in production.”

The VCCA has been held biennially since 2011. Last year, it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
