Iran threatens to resume nuclear program

Iran will resume enriching uranium at its Fordow nuclear site if the nuclear deal it signed with world powers collapses, said Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesperson of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) on Thursday.

The organization chief Ali Akbar Salehi said last week that Tehran already developed necessary infrastructure at the Natanz nuclear facility for uranium enrichment at one million Separative Work Unit (SWU).

Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei has ordered preparations to increase uranium enrichment capacity if the nuclear deal fails after the US withdrawal.
