ISIS erased west of Euphrates river

Syrian forces and allies have liberated the last villages west of the Euphrates river from the Islamic State (ISIS), the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Thursday.

ISIS still controls the eastern side of the river, including 8% of oil-rich Deir Ezzor province.

Syria's SANA news agency reported on Wednesday that Syrian forces have retaken dozens of villages west of the Euphrates river, with support from the US-led coalition, Russian forces, and Kurds militia.
