ISIS recruits likely to return to Europe

Belgian Interior Minister Jan Jambon estimated that between 3,000 and 5,000 Islamic State militants of European nationality, who are now in Syria and Iraq, are likely to return to Europe.

Mr. Jambon told state broadcaster RTBF on Sunday that those militants still fighting in Raqqa in Syria or in Mosul in Iraq may be sent back to their homeland. Minister Jambon said more than 100 Islamic State recruits have returned to Belgium, half of whom are in prison, while the others are under surveillance.
