Israel approves new government

Israel’s Parliament, the Knesset, on Sunday approved a new government by just a single vote, 60 to 59, with one abstention. The new government was established through an agreement between an eight-party alliance and Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu, who has served as Prime Minister for the last 12 years.

Naftali Bennett, 49, will be Prime Minister until August 2023 before giving the position to Yair Lapid, leader of the Yesh Atid Party.
