VGP – A delegation of about 100 Italian organisations and enterprises are taking part in a number of trade promotion activities in Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City from November 24 to 26.

They are led by Italian Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation Benedetto Della Vedova, who said the visit will seek investment deals for Italian businesses.

Both sides discuss investment potential and cooperation opportunities offered by various industrial areas throughout Viet Nam.

Ambassador H.E Lorenzo Angelonisaid said the Italian businesses hope this will be a precious chance to build and strengthen economic ties with their Vietnamese partners.

Italy is the third largest EU trade partner of Viet Nam with two-way trade turnover of €3 billion in 2013. The figure is expected to go up to €3.5 billion this year and €5 billion in 2016.

Currently, it is Viet Nam’s 18th largest export market, and the 15th largest import market.
