Italy, Austria seek measures to ease border conflict

Representatives of Italy, Austria, and Germany met Tuesday in Brussels to discuss solutions to a conflict on the Italy-Austria border.

The meeting was held by the European Committee amid tensions after the Austrian government imposed traffic restrictions in the border region of the Brenner Pass.

The Brenner Pass, in the Alps at the border between Austria and Italy, is one of the most important traffic connections between northern and southern Europe.
