Japanese Emperor’s visit to Vietnam helps lift bilateral relations

Japanese Emperor and Empress begin a state visit to Vietnam on Tuesday at the invitation of President Tran Dai Quang. Thir first ever visit to Vietnam is of historic significance to the two countries' traditional relationship.

The bilateral rapport is now at its best and the exchange of visits between the two countries' leaders is important to reinforce their mutual trust and friendship.

Japan is Vietnam's important economic partner and biggest ODA provider accounting for one-third of Vietnam's ODA. The effective bilateral cooperation in economics, human resources training and infrastructure improvement have contributed to the good relationship between the two countries.
