VGP – Ha Nam provincial People’s Committee Chairman Mai Tien Dung received a delegation of businesses from Hiroshima in Japan

At a March 11 meeting with a delegation, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Mai Tien Dung introduced sectors with rich foreign investment potential, such as the support industry, high-tech industries and agricultural production.

The locality will offer a favourable business climate to foreign investors conducting business in the province in terms of human resources, infrastructure facilities, social order and other services, Dung said.

Head of the Hiroshima delegation Mr. Nagakawa spoke highly of Ha Nam’s business climate and said that they look forward to doing increased levels of business in the province in the future.

He also made note of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two localities in 2013, regarding it as a solid foundation for Japanese firms to do business in Ha Nam.

In 2014, Ha Nam granted licences to 32 FDI projects with US$302 million in capital, making it one of the top ten localities nationwide in attracting foreign investment.

Now, Japan is the leading investor in the province with more than $447.5 million invested in 37 projects.
