Japanese firms: EVFTA opens up investment opportunities in Vietnam

Since Vietnam signed a bilateral free trade agreement with the EU, many Japanese enterprises have expressed optimism about business opportunities the deal could bring to the Vietnamese market.

Mikio Kesagayama, Chairman of the Board of Directors of TICC, a business consulting company in Japan, said that the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) will open up numerous investment opportunities in Vietnam, a major market with a population of over 90 million people, which is attractive to many investors.

Kei Kuramochi, a representative of Japan's Yaegaki company, said his company intends to invest 50 million USD in real estate projects in Vietnam. The signing of the FTA with the EU will help Vietnam's economy continue to grow and create new opportunities for investors, he said.
