Kabul blast: 90 killed near diplomatic area

Afghan officials said a massive suicide bomb ripped through a secure area of Kabul on Wednesday, killing at least 90 people and wounding 400.

According to US officials, at least 11 US citizens assigned to the US embassy as contractors were injured in the blast. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed his "disgust" at the bombing, saying that the fight against terrorism and extremism needs to be strengthened and those responsible for the attack in Kabul should be held accountable.
