Kirana Battparatana and Pasamon Meesawat Triumph at Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championship 2024.

Hua Hin: At the 15th Singha Thailand Junior World Golf Championship 2024, held at the prestigious Royal Hua Hin Golf Course, young talents from across 18 countries showcased their skills. Amongst the notable performances, Thailand's own Kirana Battparatana and Pasamon Meesawat emerged victorious in their respective classes, adding to the host nation's glory in this international competition organized by the Golf Association of Thailand with support from Singha Corporation. According to Thai News Agency, Kirana Battparatana, fondly known as "Nong Yuki," displayed remarkable resilience in the Class C category for girls aged 11-12. Despite trailing by six strokes at the end of the second day, she managed to overturn the deficit by hitting 2 over on the final day, culminating in a total score of 11 over par 227 to claim the championship. Her compatriot, Anna Phonghathaikul, who led for the initial two days, finished as the runner-up with a total of 13 over par 229. In the Class D category for girls aged 9-10, P asamon Meesawat, also known as "Pookpun," secured her victory by hitting 1 over on the last day, resulting in a total score of 3 over par 219. She outpaced fellow Thai golfer Ploynapat Amornwanich, who finished with a total score of 5 over par 221, to take second place. The men's events also saw fierce competition. Ralph Ryan Batican from the Philippines topped the overall low gross C-D championship with an even par 216. Meanwhile, Japan's Ryusei Kuroiwa emerged as the class champion with a 3 over par 219. Thailand's Suwijak Prasitthawankul was the best Thai performer in this category, securing fourth place with a 9 over par 225. In other categories, Class A and B competitors had completed three rounds by the end of the day. Class A men's leader, Nitisaphong Srichatpirun, maintained his lead with a total score of 1 under par 215. On the women's side, Chuc An Le from Vietnam led Class A with a score of 6 over par 222. In Class B, Setthawut Kenanan led the men's category with a 2 under par 214, while Wirada T hawilsang outperformed in the women's category with a score of 5 under par 211. The team events further highlighted Thailand's dominance, with Thai teams leading both men's and women's categories at the end of the third day. The men's team, comprising Setthawut Kenanan and Jaided Promsakha Na Sakonnakhon, led with a score of 12 over. The women's team, featuring Wirada Thawil Sang and Marisa Tojai, also held the top spot with the same score of 12 over, followed by the Vietnamese team with 24 overs.
