Korean football body to air matches to pamper Vietnamese fans

The Korea Football Association (KFA) has said it will offer online streaming services for more matches participated by Incheon United FC within the current K-League 1 season to meet high demand from Vietnamese fans.

According to the announcement, the match between Incheon United FC, where Vietnamese star Nguyen Cong Phuong is serving, and Gyeongnam FC scheduled for March 9 can be watched online on the KFA official website.

Since May 2018, every week a K-league match is selected to be broadcast on the site under a service named Worldwide Live. However, this season will see a larger number of matches involving Incheon United FC.

According to Sports Seoul magazine, the new player has drawn more Korean and Vietnamese football fans to the K-league 2019. The Facebook Page of Incheon United FC has so far received over 20,000 more follows from Vietnamese, with posts related to Cong Phuong attracting lots of attention.

The club' made-for-fan jerseys, which bear the number 23 of the 24-year-old striker, are very close to be sold out.
