General Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith pledged to continue efforts to maintain and foster the friendship, solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Laos and Vietnam. The Lao leader had separate meetings with former General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nong Duc Manh and former State President Tran Duc Luong in Hanoi on Monday.

The former Vietnamese leaders said Mr. Sisoulith’s visit to Vietnam reflects a loyal, warm, and close relationship between the two peoples. They said they believe that under the leadership of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party, led by Mr. Thongloun Sisoulith, Laos will reap even greater achievements, strengthen the two countries’ friendship, and enhance its position in the international arena.
