A training workshop opened in Ha Long city on Thursday on new ways to promote Vietnam’s image abroad. Attending the workshop were representatives of 27 Departments of Information and Communications from Vietnam’s northern and north central provinces.
The workshop will teach localities new ways to implement promotional and communications programs to tell the world what it wants to know about Vietnam, based on a ranking of criteria by international organizations.
At the opening ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Lam, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications, said external communications need a newer, more creative, more effective approach to support diplomacy, tourism, trade, foreign investment attraction, and socio-economic development and improve Vietnam’s competitive advantage.
This new approach will make each locality the foundation and core of promoting Vietnam’s national image, Lam said.
