Long Xuyen Quadrangle urged to increase high-tech applications in agricultural production

A workshop was held in An Giang Province on Tuesday on orientations and solutions to develop high-tech agriculture and agricultural restructuring in Long Xuyen Quadrangle, a sub-region that includes Kien Giang, An Giang, and part of Can Tho City.

Manuel Marcel Murrenhoff, an expert with the German Buhler Company, underlined the importance of consolidating paddy fields, linking farmers and businesses, and strictly following guidelines, for seedlings, fertilizers, and chemical additives to create qualified products.

Professor Vo Tong Xuan, Rector of Nam Can Tho University, called on An Giang province to increase the application of advanced technologies to production, and to develop production chains to realize the government resolution on sustainable development in the Mekong Delta Region.
