More medical workers leave for the south to fight epidemic

Nearly 200 doctors and medical workers from hospitals in the central region traveled to the South on Friday to support the fight against COVID-19 with determination to stamp out the disease.

A number of them have voluntarily gone to the epicenter for the second time.

30-year-old Doan Thi Thu Nhung, a caregiver of Da Nang C Hospital, said, “My parents and husband are taking care of two little children. I’ve been far away from them for 3 weeks. But this is my work and I have no reason to delay. I want to join efforts with people in the south to fight the epidemic.”

According to Captain Le Thi Loan, a doctor of the Ministry of Public Security’s Hospital 199 in Da Nang, “Working in the medical sector and knowing the epidemic complications, I fully understand the danger and hardships. But I’ve volunteered to participate this time. I’ve well prepared myself both spiritually and professionally to respond to the most difficult situations.”
