Moscow bus that struck pedestrians not linked to terrorism

A bus that slammed into an underground passageway in western Moscow on Monday killing four people and injuring 11 was not terror-related, according to Russian police.

All the victims were pedestrians. Investigators are looking into whether the incident occurred as a result of a technical fault with the bus. The driver has been detained and is now being interrogated by police. Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin told reporters at the scene that an inspection of the entire Moscow bus fleet has been ordered. Russia's Investigative Committee decided to implement a criminal investigation into the cause.
