NA invites young Japanese parliamentarians to visit in January

The Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) has invited young Japanese parliamentarians to visit Vietnam in January to enhance relations between the two legislative bodies, President of the Vietnam-Japan Friendship Parliamentarians' Group Pham Minh Chinh said on Monday at a meeting with Japan's State Minister of Finance Suzuki Keisuke.

As members of the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP), Vietnam and Japan have substantial opportunities to step up cooperation within the framework of the agreement, Mr. Chinh said.

Keisuke suggested the two countries continue their all-level delegation exchanges to further boost their economic and trade ties. Vietnam remains an investment destination for Japanese businesses, he said, noting that Japanese firms hope that the business environment in Vietnam will continue to improve.
