National Assembly Chairwoman receives Japanese Ambassador

Vietnam is actively preparing to welcome Japanese Emperor and Empress in their official visit to Vietnam.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan told Japanese Ambassador Umeda Kunio in Hanoi on Friday that the legislative body applauded and treasured the visit. She asked the Ambassador to promote the fine developments in bilateral relations, exchanges between ministries, localities and people between Vietnam and Japan for better mutual understanding and practical cooperation. The Ambassador said the Emperor and the Empress's upcoming visit symbolizes significant friendship and cooperation between the two countries. Some 120 journalists are expected to accompany the Emperor and Japanese people hope for a successful visit.
