National Assembly’s year-end session productive, says NA Chairman

The 16-day session of the 15th National Assembly ensured quality, efficiency and compliance with regulations though the meeting duration was shortened in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, said National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Saturday. Addressing the closing ceremony on Saturday, Chairman Hue said National Assembly deputies responsibly contributed many enthusiastic and intellectual ideas to the session’s agenda. Nearly 3,500 deputies spoke at group discussions and plenary meeting.

The National Assembly focused discussions on socio-economic development plan and the state budget in 2021 and COVID-19 prevention and control work. The Assembly passed the Resolutions on socio-economic development plan in 2022; Economic restructuring plan for the 2021-2025, and the Joint Resolution of the 2nd session.

Deputies spent much time to comment on the Government’s reports on implementation of social insurance policies, management and use of the Social Insurance Fund in 2020; and the management and use of the Health Insurance Fund in 2020.
