The 2023 National Press Festival, themed “Solidarity-professionalism-culture-innovation”, will take place in Hanoi from March 17 to March 19 to highlight Vietnam’s revolutionary press development and promote journalistic works. At a press conference in Hanoi on Friday, Nguyen Duc Loi, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and head of the festival’s organising committee, said that this year’s festival focuses on culture and creativeness, the two factors that Vietnam’s journalism needs to pay greater attention.

“We’ve recently launched a cultural movement in press agencies and among journalists. As a result, we’ve strongly underlined the cultural factor in the activities and events held at the press festival,” said Loi.

The organisers will present awards to the best Tet (Lunar New Year) magazine cover, the best news website design, and the best TV and radio programs, plus an award for organisations and individuals with outstanding activities at the festival.
