Naval troops rescue troubled trawler at sea

PANO Troops of Platform DK1/9 under Naval Region 2 have successfully rescued a troubled fishing boat at sea.

On March 1 evening, trawler BD-97307TS with eight fishermen on board, captained by Le Van Tiep from Binh Dinh province, went adrift due to engine failure about 15 nautical miles from the platform. After receiving the information, the Naval Region 2 Command assigned Ship 924 operating near the location for a rescue mission. The ship approached and towed the troubled trawler to the platform.

The technical personnel on board Ship 740 and at the platform then fixed the trawler's problem and provided necessities for the fishermen.
