S-Health, the first-ever mobile app that provides free health advice and services to the elderly and their caregivers and family members, was launched on Wednesday by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and Vietnam’s Ministry of Health. 

User-friendly S-Health was piloted for eight months. It makes finding healthcare advice and services easier for old people, who are society’s most vulnerable in emergencies and times of humanitarian crisis. Users receive updates on commonly diagnosed diseases of the elderly and given tips for a healthier diet and caring for old people.

The S-Health app enables users to keep daily track of personal health indicators and set reminders for taking medication and keeping doctor appointments.
