New US ambassador: North Korea a top priority

The new US ambassador to China has said that preventing any threat posed by North Korea will be a top priority, along with resolving the US-China trade imbalance, according to a video message released on Monday.

Terry Branstad was confirmed last month but his arrival date has yet to be announced. The United States ran a trade deficit of 347 billion USD with China last year, according to US Treasury figures. It is said that the imbalance is of great concern to US President Donald Trump.
