Next peace talks on Syria to be held in June

The next peace talks on Syria are scheduled to be held in Astana, Kazakhstan in the middle of this month.

Earlier, the United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura, said the upcoming expert-level talk will focus on a number of issues, including new constitution.

During the 4th talk in Astana on May 4, Russia, Iran and Turkey signed an agreement to establish 4 deescalation zones in Syria. There remains concern over the development of peace process in Syria. The UN Security Council is considering its support for a new agreement reached by Russia, Iran, and Turkey to set up an area of truce in Syria.
