Nguom Ngao Cave – Northeast Region’s Natural Wonder

Hanoi: Nguom Ngao cave, a name in Tay language which means tiger cave, is located in Khuoi Ky hamlet, Dam Thuy commune, Trung Khanh district, Cao Bang province. This natural spectacle was formed over 300 million years ago and has been open to tourists since 2003. Spanning over 2,000 meters, the cave features three main entrances: Nguom Ngao, Nguom Lom, and Ban Thuon, each providing unique exploration experiences. According to Vietnam News Agency, inside the cave lies a vast space adorned with thousands of stalactites of varying shapes and colors, sparking the imagination of its visitors. From towering stone pillars to shimmering stone waterfalls resembling soft silk strips, and delicate stone curtains, the cave presents a vivid and magical natural wonder.
