Nguyen Tieu Festival celebrated in Ho Chi Minh City

Crowds of people gathered on Tuesday in Ho Chi Minh City's District 5 to attend the Nguyen Tieu Festival, a celebration held by the Chinese community of Cho Lon on the 15th day of the first lunar month.

People gather in the streets to watch the festival and take photos of the parade

A parade, a dragon dance, a fan dance, traditional art, and ancient Tuong performances are part of this festival.

Quach Trung Hieu, Director of District 5's Culture Center, said: We are applying to have District 5's Nguyen Tieu Festival recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage. This year more than 25,000 people participated in the festival's flower and lantern activities.
