Hanoi: On February 2 (the 5th day of the Lunar New Year), the last day of the Tet holiday, thousands of people lined up at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi to check in and prepare for flights. It is estimated that nearly 100,000 passengers and 590 domestic and international flights passed through the airport on this busy day.

According to Vietnam News Agency, the Tet holiday period sees a significant increase in travel as people return to their homes or head back to work after celebrations. The surge in passengers on the final day of Tet is a regular occurrence, leading to crowded terminals and long lines as travelers seek to catch their flights.

Noi Bai International Airport, one of the busiest airports in Vietnam, had been preparing for the increased passenger traffic during the Tet holiday. Efforts were made to ensure that operations ran smoothly despite the high volume of travelers. This included additional staffing and measures to expedite the check-in and boarding processes.

As the Tet holiday draws to a close, travelers are reminded to arrive at the airport well in advance of their scheduled departure times to avoid potential delays. Despite the challenges posed by the large number of passengers, the airport staff worked diligently to maintain efficiency and safety for all travelers passing through the airport.
