North Korea dismantles Sohae Satellite Launching Station
North Korea is dismantling a missile-engine test site following an agreement reached between North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un and US President Donald Trump.
According to North Korea's 38 North website, dismantlement is occurring at the Sohae Satellite Launching Station, where, at the vertical engine test stand used for testing engines for ballistic missiles and space launch vehicles, the North Koreans have torn down the steel base structure and appear to be removing fuel and oxidizer tanks from dismantled bunkers.
On July 23, North Korea began dismantling key facilities of the station. Observers cannot rule out the possibility that it might be the beginning of a project to modify the structure for other purposes.
