North Korea reiterates negotiation conditions with US

North Korea has rejected US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson's latest proposal for dialogue without preconditions, the Workers' Party of Korea's Rodong Sinmun newspaper said in an article on Tuesday.

The piece said that nothing has changed in North Korea's stance of pursuing nuclear weapons, regardless of whether Washington has offered talks without strings attached. It said the US is trying to shift responsibility for tensions on the Korean Peninsula to North Korea, and manipulate new UN Security Council resolutions if North Korea does not accept dialogue on the abandonment of nuclear weapons.

North Korea has made it clear that it will not put its nuclear weapons policy on the negotiation table if the US does not ditch what it says is a hostile policy toward Pyongyang.
