Number of ‘yellow vest’ protesters rises
84,000 demonstrators turned out across France for new "yellow vests" protests and clashes broke out during protests in Paris, Bourges, Bordeaux, and Toulouse.
Yellow vest protests occurred for the ninth consecutive weekend with protestors on the rise. Several people were questioned by authorities, on charges including unlawful weapons and participating in a group with the goal of committing violent crimes.
The protests began as a campaign against a gas tax hike, but have morphed into a broader rally against President Emmanuel Macron's government. 10 deaths and 1600 injuries were recognized since the campaign's operation on mid-November last year.
