One more Vietnamese officer to be sent to UNMISS

PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Chi Vinh, Deputy Defense Minister and Head of the Steering Committee for Vietnam's participation in UN peacekeeping operations of the Ministry of National Defense, on February 13, handed over decision to assign Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Tinh to the United Nations Mission in South Sudan (UNMISS).

Accordingly, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Tinh from the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations will replace Major Do Thi Hang Nga, who has finished her duty as a staff officer at UNMISS.

On this occasion, General Vinh hailed the achievements recorded by Vietnamese peacekeepers over the past time. He asked Lieutenant Colonel Tinh to be fully aware of his responsibilities and to try his best to effectively fulfill the missions.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Kim Tinh expressed his honor and pride to undertake the duty at UNMISS and promised to successfully fulfill the assigned mission.

On the occasion, the Vietnam Department of Peacekeeping Operations reported to General Vinh that Major Do Thi Hang Nga had won the United Nations' compliment for her task performance.

Hailing Nga's results, Vinh asked her to make further contributions to the development of the department and share her field experience with other officers who are about to work at UN peacekeeping missions in the coming time.
