Party and State leaders pay Tet visits to localities

Leaders of the Party, State, and Government of Vietnam paid visits to several localities ahead of Tet, Vietnam’s traditional Lunar New Year Festival. The Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission Chief Truong Thi Mai on Wednesday visited staff, soldiers, and ethnic groups in the border district of Nam Po in Dien Bien province. On this occasion, 140 sets of Tet gifts were presented to local families of martyrs, people in difficult circumstances, disadvantaged households, and policy beneficiaries.

The same day, Minister of Public Security General To Lam visited and presented Tet gifts to policy beneficiaries, people who have rendered great service to the nation, and disadvantaged workers in Hung Yen province. He asked local authorities to take good care of the people and ensure that everyone enjoys a happy Tet.

Ho Chi Minh City leaders paid Tet visits to some of the city’s scientists and experts. Municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Nen said at the meeting: “We believe scientists, particularly medical experts, are always ready to support the local authorities when needed. We promise closer cooperation with the experts and more resolute adherence to their advice to improve our effectiveness.”

On Wednesday, the Secretariat of the Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Confederation, and the Young Vietnamese Physicians Association paid Tet visits to doctors engaged in the fight against COVID-19.
