Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said on Sunday that the Great National Solidarity Day aims to build, consolidate, and promote the people’s mastery, strengthen the great unity bloc, and enhance the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the Doi moi (renewal) period.  The Party leader attended the Great National Solidarity Day Festival on Sunday at the cultural house in hamlet 5, Yen So commune, Hoai Duc district, Hanoi.

He said the results of the Festival will bring spiritual values, enrich the revolutionary will, honor the community’s strength, contribute to the successful implementation of political tasks, and develop socio-economy and culture from every hamlet, village, residential area, and population cluster all over the country.

Party General Secretary Trong called on local authorities and people to continue to promote the glorious revolutionary tradition, traditional identity and strength of national unity, and strive to make all residential areas in Hanoi city richer and more beautiful, civilized and modern.
