Party leader pays tribute to President Ho Chi Minh as Vietnam celebrates new lunar year

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Sunday offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at House 67 in the Presidential Palace complex ahead of the Lunar New Year Festival (Tet), the biggest and longest festival in Vietnam.

House 67, where President Ho Chi Minh lived, worked and breathed his last, still keeps many remembrances associated with his life and career.

The house also served as a venue for Politburo meetings during the fiercest years of the war in Vietnam.

UNESCO honors President HCM as “a Vietnamese hero of national liberation and a great man of culture.”
