The construction and development of the region must harmoniously combine economic, socio-cultural development, protection of natural resources and environment, be closely linked with national defense and security, and strengthen foreign affairs.”

“Taking economic, cultural and social development as the foundation for maintaining national defense, security and socio-political stability. The Party leader said that on the basis of mindset innovation, it is necessary to step up the building and perfecting of institutions, mechanisms and policies for regional development. Central agencies need to strengthen coordination with the Regional Council and localities, urgently develop, perfect, promulgate and implement the priority and specific laws and policies for the region, he said.

Party General Secretary Trong stressed the need to promote the building and rectification of the Party and political system that is truly clean, strong and comprehensive, considering this a decisive factor and regularly educate political ideology, enhance revolutionary ethics for cadres, party members and the young generation.
