Party official calls for better conditions for ethnic children

263 outstanding children from all 54 ethnic groups nationwide were honored and presented certificates at a ceremony held in Hanoi on Friday as part of the fourth National Festival of Ethnic Children. They are ethnic minority pioneers with excellent achievements in  study, practice, and active engagement in activities organized by the Ho Chi Minh Vanguard Children Union, to preserve and promote the national cultural identity. They have been excellent students for many years and won many prizes for examinations.

Tran Tuan Anh, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Economic Commission, said he  believes that the children will further promote their achievements, unite, and strive harder in study and training to uphold the traditional cultural values of the Vietnamese nation towards building an advanced Vietnamese culture, driving the development of a prosperous and happy nation.

“The HCM Youth Union and HCM Vanguard Children Union will continue to advise Party committees and authorities and coordinate with schools, organizations, and social forces to care and support children in difficult circumstances and ethnic children with disabilities,” said Tuan Anh.

He insisted that “the most favorable conditions will be created so that each child can attend school, preserve and promote the national cultural identity and become the nation’s future leaders.”
