– Phu Quoc International Airport in Kien Giang province welcomed the first charter flight of Uzbekistan Airways on Tuesday bringing nearly 180 tourists. Uzbekistan Airways will operate 18 round-trip flights to Phu Quoc from now until the end of March 2023. Passengers will stay at the island for about 8 nights.

Phu Quoc has been receiving a lot of international flights in recent months, signaling the busy year-end tourism season.

Phu Quoc welcomed more than 29.000 foreign tourists last month, 15.7% more than the previous month, suggesting that the island is seen by international travelers as a good place to relax after the COVID-19 pandemic.
