Before ending his official visit to Singapore, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday morning received Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong.

He congratulated Wong on becoming the leader of the People’s Action Party (PAP) fourth-generation (4G) team, expressing a hope that Wong will always support and promote Vietnam-Singapore cooperation in various fields, from politics, security-defense to economy, trade, investment, and people-to-people exchange.

The two leaders agreed that the two sides should discuss and strengthen the cooperation mechanism between their governments to review and propose specific measures to more effectively implement agreements reached.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also met with leaders of Temasek, a global investment group owned by the Singapore Government, UOB Bank, one of the largest banks in Asia, and Keppel, Singapore’s multi-industry group providing solutions for sustainable urbanization in energy, environment, and infrastructure.

He applauded their effective investment and business activities in Vietnam and encouraged the groups to continue to expand operations in Vietnam.
