PM stresses building and up-scaling national brand

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said on Wednesday that the task of building and upscaling the national brand is of strategic significance and urged focus on better capitalizing on potentials and strengths to develop product brand and corporate brand at home and abroad to create value for society. Addressing the 8th Vietnam National Brand Announcement Ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh stressed the need to expand international markets and participate more deeply in global supply chains. It’s imperative to ensure and constantly improve the prestige, quality and competitiveness of Vietnamese brand products through an advanced production and business management system and open, transparent and healthy financial operations, he said.

The PM reiterated the Government’s supportive solutions to remove difficulties and create maximum conditions for businesses to develop, continue to fine-tune mechanisms and policies, reform administrative procedures, and improve the business and investment environment.

“With a high sense of responsibility and confidence of the whole country and a team of Vietnamese entrepreneurs, we believe that there will be many businesses that meet the criteria of the Program. By 2030, we will strive to have more than 1,000 products of Vietnam National Brand to affirm that Vietnam is a country with quality goods and services of high competitiveness in the international market,” PM Chinh said.

“The efforts of each enterprise to achieve the national brand will be the nucleus contributing to building a strong and prosperous Vietnam. We believe that the word “Vietnam” will be associated with prestigious and high-quality products and services,” he added.

According to Brand Finance, Vietnam National Brand’s value rose 11% to 431 billion USD in 2022 from 388 billion USD in 2021.
