PM vows more drastic, innovate action to help businesses
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has renewed the Government's commitment to better serve businesses and investors.
Mr. Phuc told the Vietnam Business Forum 2018 in Hanoi on Tuesday that the entrepreneurial spirit of businesses creates a stimulus for the Government to act more boldly and innovatively. Vietnam has enjoyed economic growth though the global economy is forecast to be slower than projected this year, Prime Minister Phuc said.
Vietnam's economic achievements over the past 3 decades of renewal are associated with economic and trade liberalization and international integration. Integration provides the impetus for Vietnam to boost reform, economic growth and sustainable poverty reduction, he noted.
Prime Minister Phuc said that the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership will open greater opportunities for Vietnamese products to enter member countries' markets.
The annual Vietnam Business Forum serves as a dialogue between the Government and domestic and foreign businesses with the aim of improving business conditions to foster the development of private enterprises and establish an optimal investment environment.
