President offers incense at Tan Trao special national relic site

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on Sunday offered incense in memory of President Ho Chi Minh at Na Nua cottage in the Tan Trao special national relic site as part of his visit to Tuyen Quang province. Na Nua cottage is located in Na Nua forest, Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune, where President Ho Chi Minh lived from the end of May to August 22, 1945, to lead the August Revolution to gain independence for Vietnam from the French colonial rule.

Afterwards, President Phuc came to offer incense at Tan Trao Communal House, which is located in the west of Tan Lap village, Tan Trao commune, where the National Congress, the predecessor of Vietnam’s National Assembly, met on August 16, 1945.

Also on Sunday morning, the President visited and encouraged the members of Then Club in Tan Lap village and give gifts to meritorious artisan Ma Van Duc, 72, in Tan Ha ward, Tuyen Quang city.
