President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has praised Lai Chau province’s achievements after nearly 20 years of re-establishment and stressed its goal to become a medium-income locality in the northern mountainous region. Mr. Phuc spoke at a ceremony on Friday in Phong Tho district to mark the 92nd anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s traditional day and 19 years of the Great National Solidarity Day.
President Phuc asked the provincial Party Committee to continue to follow the Party’s guidelines and President Ho Chi Minh’s thought on great national unity.
He said promoting solidarity among local ethnic groups is an important task for the Party to create unity of all levels, sectors, Party members, and people.
