The 6th national press awards on party building named Golden Hammer and Sickle Award 2021 was announced at a ceremony attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh in Hanoi’s Opera House on Friday, on the occasion of the 92nd founding anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3).
At the ceremony, permanent member of Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Vo Van Thuong applauded the role of the press in informing people at home and abroad and international friends about the Communist Party of Vietnam, its Party building and rectification, and Vietnam’s achievements under the leadership of the Party. This has contributed to consolidating and enhancing the people’s trust in the Party, State and regime, according to Mr. Thuong.
He urged the press reporting Party building to continue reform, fight negativity, backwardness, and false and hostile claims, and protect the Party’s ideological foundation, platform, and guidelines to meet the requirements of Party building and rectification and the development of modern journalism.
The Organizing Committee awarded 6 A prizes, 12 B prizes, 16 C prizes, 30 Consolation prizes and 10 thematic prizes. VOV won 3 prizes, including 1 B prize, 1 C prize and 1 Consolation prize.
