Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has thanked the Central Mass Mobilization Commission, the Fatherland Front at all levels, and socio-political organizations for their best efforts in COVID-19 prevention and control.

Chairing a working session of permanent members of the Government and the leaders of the Central Mass Mobilization Commission in Hanoi on Wednesday, Prime Minister Chinh said that over the past 500 days, the pandemic has raged in the world and in Vietnam, leaving severe impacts on socio-economic life.

Under the leadership of the Party, the whole political system’s engagement, together with the support of the business community and people with the spirit of “fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy,” Vietnam has performed the dual task of fighting the pandemic and developing the economy and obtained important results over the past year.

The Prime Minister added that Vietnam will continue to capitalize on its achievements and promote Party leadership, State management and people’s mastery through socio-political organizations.

“We continue to work together under the leadership of the Party and the support of the people to gain more faith and strength, and unite to continue pandemic prevention and control, bringing peace and a prosperous and happy life for the people in the spirit of implementing the call of the Party General Secretary and the Resolution of the National Assembly and Government,” he said.
