PSA to conduct ‘User-Producer Forum on Agriculture and Fisheries Statistics’

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), cognizance of the need to provide more reliable, relevant and timely agriculture and fisheries statistics, will conduct the User-Producer Forum on Agriculture and Fisheries Statistics on 30 May 2016, 10 am at Torre Venezia Suites, located at corner Scout Santiago Street, 170 Timog Ave, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila.

The User-Producer Forum will serve as a venue for users and producers of agriculture and fisheries statistics to discuss the necessary developmental strategies for the improvement of agriculture and fisheries surveys in the PSA and in the Philippine Statistical System. The Forum aims to give an overview of the various surveys/censuses on agriculture conducted by the PSA, collect suggestions for the improvement of various agriculture and fisheries surveys, and collect information on the policy uses of agricultural statistics as well as the data needs of users, researchers and other producers of agricultural statistics.

The Forum will be open to invited representatives from various government agencies, bureaus, organizations and members of the academe pertinent to the field of agriculture and fisheries with PSA as resource persons.
